Mental Health Assessments and Individual Therapy
Dr. Kristina Todorova offers comprehensive mental health assessments which explore underlying biological, psychological and social factors which influence individual emotional functioning. The assessment aims to identify the main areas of presenting difficulties and appropriate initial steps for treatment for each individual.

The individual therapy sessions are tailored to address various emotional and psychological challenges, providing a safe and supportive environment for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings, as well as work towards each client's goals.
Family Assessments and Child Therapy
Dr Kristina Todorova offers a family assessment service which is typically undertaken within the family home, and includes interviews with different family members, as well as some observation of family life. This is a bespoke service which is individually tailored to each family depending on needs, and previously discussed and agreed aims for the assessment. Therefore, the price for this service may vary depending on time spent with the family as well as components included within the assessment.

Child therapy appointments are typically on a weekly basis for a period of time which has been agreed from the outset, however there is room for some flexibility depending on how the child engages with the therapy process. After identifying main difficulties to be worked on and devising a treatment plan with clear goals, treatment aims to help the child to progress with their goals at a pace that feels achievable. Throughout this process, parents may need to be more or less involved depending on the individual situation, the child's age and of course the aims for treatment. It is important to keep parents in the loop and support them in becoming their child's best cheerleader on their journey of overcoming ongoing challenges.
Assessment Reports
Dr Kristina Todorova offers written summaries of assessments which vary in length and detail depending on client needs. Therefore, prices can range vastly for this service, depending on the time required to complete the task, as well as whether liaison and communication is required with third parties in relation to assessment findings.
About Me
I have worked in the NHS for over eight years across a variety of clinical settings, including adult complex mental health, older adults and neuropsychology services. I also have experience of working in inpatient as well as community NHS settings. I am currently employed on a part-time basis in a Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) team which specialises in treating anxiety disorders in children and adolescents.

I am passionate about tailoring treatment plans to suit people's needs and therefore tend to work in an integrative way. During my doctoral training, I gained experience of working with a variety of therapeutic treatment models some of which include Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Family and Systemic Psychotherapy, attachment and trauma informed psychotherapeutic models. I also have experience of including art and play therapy approaches in my work with children and families. I have provided therapy treatment to people who experience difficulties with depression and emotional dysregulation, anxiety-related conditions and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), low self-esteem and eating difficulties.

My private practice is centred around offering a compassionate and confidential therapeutic space built on mutual respect and collaboration with each client. The focus is on creating a supportive environment for individuals to explore their concerns, gain self-awareness, and develop effective strategies for managing challenges. I am committed to providing personalised care that aligns with the unique needs and goals of every individual. I understand that finding a therapist who is the right fit can be a daunting task, which is why I offer a free 30 minute telephone consultation during which we can explore this in more detail.
